Eliminate

Eliminate, also known as Eliminate pro, plus and others. I'll explain why later. Eliminate is a very fun and free FPS. Now you're probably thinking that because it's free, it's bad but you are totally wrong, this is a great looking game on your device and plays almost perfectly. The reason they can make this game free, is because the set up is different then a game that costs. Every two hours, you get a charge. It takes 3 charges, or 6 hours, to get fully charged. When you are charged, you earn credits when you play/kill. When you get credits, you can buy new armor, new weapons or upgrade what you own, Thus making you better. The game is online. The only option for online play though is a four person free for all death match, which is fine considering it's a mobile game. At first, you're going to die a lot when you play online, but after a while, it gets extremely fun and you won't be able to wait the two hours for your charge. And that's another great thing about this game, you don't need to wait the two hours for your charge, you can play online for fun but you won't earn any credits. Although this game sounds great, there's still some problems. The main one, connection. It takes a while to connect to the home screen which is kind of pathetic, and this is on a very good WiFi connection. Trying to connect over a 2g or other network is horrid. The worst though is when they connect you to a game and you have your charge, but then your connection randomly decides to suck mid game. This is especially bad because then you do bad and your charge goes to waste. However, there is a way to charge up without waiting. You can earn power cells by downloading certain apps that they tell you to download and they will have you log in, and they will add the power cells to your account. You can then use your power cells whenever you want to get energy. If you want a challenge, (if my connection doesn't suck and I'm not totally lagging,) then feel free to add me on Eliminate, my name is drooney.

Traffic Rush

Traffic rush is a great, simple game and I highly suggest downloading it. All you have to do is direct traffic through an intersection. You do this by either swiping your finger to speed up a car, or touching the car to stop it. This game also gives us some extra fun stats, such as seeing how long you have played the game and how many cars you have saved. Traffic rush is another great free game by donut games.

TouchGrind

There's skateboarding, there's skateboarding video games, there's finger boarding and yes, now there is a finger boarding video game. Touch Grind. All you do is move your fingers around on the screen, as if they were your feet and your screen was your skateboard. It's kind of fun for a while, but I don't find myself coming back to this app a lot. The user interface on this app is pretty unique. It's not just a list of things, it's a wheel that you spin to go to the different sections. The sections are: Warm Up, Jam Session, Competition, Options, About and How To. Warm Up is pointless. It's the same as Jam Session except it doesn't score you, or save your score. Competition is when you do as many tricks as you can in 100 seconds. This is the only way to unlock boards. In my first and only Competition session, I unlocked six boards, not including the Noob or TouchGrind boards. So basically I beat more than half the game in under two minutes. There is only 15 boards as of now and the only difference I have noticed is the look. Options is obviously the options menu. It allows you to turn the sound effects on and off, invert kickturn, submit your online score automatically and change your online name. No one cares about the About menu, but i'll tell you about it anyway. It tells you that this app was made by illusion labs and it gives you their website name. The How To section is very useful. It gives you a video tutorial of how to move your board, the basics, ollie, pop shuvit, do flips, railslides and how to combine tricks. It's a very nice addition to the app. This app has been around for a while now and the price hasn't changed. This is the first app that I bought and am not totally satisfied with for the price.

Rating: 6/10 (only because for the price, they could have done a lot more.)

Flick Kick Field Goal

Flick Kick Field Goal is a simple game where all you have to do is flick a ball into a field goal. You can do this in Practice mode, Sudden Death, Arcade and Time Attack. All of the modes are pretty self explanatory. In Practice, you're obviously just practicing for the competitive modes. Sudden Death is flicking the football till you miss, then it starts over. Arcade is the only one that doesn't explain itself. You have three tries from the same place to kick it in. All you need to get in is one, then you move onto the next level. There is a total of 24 balls to kick in. Time Attack gives you two minutes to flick in as many balls as possible. Everyone that goes in, gives you two more seconds. That hardly adds up though because every time you make one or miss one, it tells you, even though it's usually obvious. Some other features are being on fire. I have no idea what this does but I guess it looks kinda cool. The elements that effect you when flicking are the wind, distance and angle. It only displays the wind and distance because the angle is pretty obvious. The app looks great. This app is free today only through Open Feint. Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

Flood-It! 2

Flood-It has such a simple concept that for some reason, I have never seen before.

Classic Mode: Classic Mode is the original Flood-It!, but with some extra things such as sound and it looks a little bit different. The goal is to fill up the whole screen with the same color in 22 steps. You do this by choosing a color that's closer to "you". "You" being the top left corner that expands into everything else. It will take a few steps until you really need to start thinking. At first, it's more like whatever is closest to you, you need to choose. After about 12 steps, you'll really be in the game and whatever you choose from then on, will mainly effect the outcome. However, there is 3 different settings. Easy, Medium and Hard board. You can change this by going to the settings menu. Another thing you can change is the color of your 6 colors. This is only a preference, but to me, the default colors are the easiest to tell apart. Every time you finish a board, some mini stats will come up that give you your win percentage, how many losses and wins you've had, and how many tiles you did your best board in. It gives you these stats for all three board types.

Challenge Mode: Challenge Mode has the same concept as Classic Mode, flood the board, but it adds some challenges, thus the name "Challenge" Mode. For now, there is only three different Challenge Mode challenges. Think Fast, Move Around and The Last Color is... In Think Fast, they give you a time limit to complete the board. It's 30 seconds. I can't think that fast but I think you can change that in the settings. In Move Around, you flood the board around 2 shapes. Again, I believe you can change that in the settings. In "The Last Color is..." they give you a different color each time and that has to be the last color you flood.
